What Are Oil Spills?

 

Oil spills are a chemical that spills into lakes, rivers, or oceans. These chemicals                pollute them. Oil spills have an environmental impact and everything in the water.

 

The Mediterranean Sea is the most polluted sea in the world

Storage tanks our leaking in to the Mediterranean Sea.

 

 

Factories dumped over 300,000 tons into the Mediterranean Sea each year. Also people who eat Mediterranean seafood also eat oil that got absorbed from the creatures.

Floating boom oil stands in the ocean they put booms inside the sea so it can stay there.

 

 

 

 

Conservation is a management that protects natural resources and uses them wisely.

 

In 1975 all but one of the Mediterranean nations decided to clean up the sea. They agreed   to control pollution and set up rules against dumping oil. Many factories have stopped   dumping most toxic wastes into the Sea.
