Once upon a time there was a little girl named Fern. She was only eight years old. |

| One day Mrs. Anabel called Fern in for breakfast. | Then Fern noticed her dad carrying an axe. Fern went outside and said, "What are you doing with that axe?" Her dad said, "I am going to kill that pig." |

| "No, dad don’t!" said Fern. She pulled the axe away from her dad. | She took the pig away from her dad. "Come back here!" said her father but Fern ran outside with the pig. "It’s not fair. What if I was a pig, would you kill me?" "Certainly not." said her dad. |

| Mrs. Anabel said, "pigs are naughty." "No, they’re not." said Fern. | One day the pig had a baby. "It’s cute." said Fern. |

| Fern kept the pig but one day somebody knocked at the door. It was her brother Aller. | He took the pig to his farm. The pig’s name was Albert. |

| Albert met a spider named Shyu. "Hi." Shyu said. "Hi." Said Albert. "How are you today?" Are you scared here?" said Shyu. "No, I’m not." Said Albert. | One day Aller came and gave Albert food. Then Fern came and said, "Aller how is Albert?" "Very, very food. I like Albert." Said Aller. "But Albert is mine." Said Fern. "I know." Said Aller, "Maybe you could visit Albert sometime." "O.K. It’s a deal." Said Fern. |

| Fern went to school. At 3:00 she came home and went to see Albert but before she got there Albert was gone. | Aller had the pig and put him in Aller’s cabin. |

| Fern said, "It’s not funny. You scared me on purpose. Now where is Albert?" "He’s in my cabin sleeping." Said Aller. "How kind of you to keep him comfy." said Fern. | Albert was in Aller’s cabin and Shyu said, "Hey Albert." Albert said, "Who is that?" "It’s me Shyu." "Oh Shyu I missed you." Said Albert. "How did you get in here?" "I crawled in here. As you know spiders do crawl." Said Shyu. "Of coarse." Said Albert. |

| One morning the sun was shining. | Shyu was having babies. She had 1999 babies. |

| Aller was coming and he saw Albert. They were surprised and proud of Shyu. She was proud of herself. | So Albert was happy for Shyu and Shyu lived happily ever after. |
