Improve
Your English Skills and Prepare for High School in
an Intensive English Program |
 |
The New Westminster School District is pleased to offer you our special Academic English Intensive Program (AEIP). AEIP will help improve your English quickly, and prepare you for study in high school. Some academic subjects are included in the curriculum.
The AEIP teachers are energetic and enthusiastic certified professionals. They use a variety of teaching methods to improve your English skills, Math terminology, and English for Social studies and Science. When you come to class, expect to study hard and be active!
You will see the results immediately. As your English improves, you will gain the confidence to have an English conversation, make new friends, and participate in high-school classes. The curriculum will also include English for Math, Social Studies, and Science individualized for your level. The academic content areas will help you prepare to study in a Canadian secondary school setting.
AEIP classes are small, with a maximum of 16 students. To encourage your English development, we enforce an English-Only policy. Classes are from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. Weekly assessments will be given to evaluate your academic progress. |
