Improve
Your English Skills and Prepare for
Elementary/Middle/Secondary School in an Intensive English Program |
 |
The New Westminster School District is pleased to offer you our special Academic English Intensive Program (AEIP). This program focuses on oral language, reading, writing and listening. AEIP will help improve your English quickly, and prepare you for study in elementary/middle/secondary school. Some academic subjects are included in the curriculum.
The AEIP teachers are energetic and enthusiastic certified professionals. They use a variety of teaching methods to improve your English skills, Math terminology, and English for Social studies and Science. When you come to class, expect to study hard and be active!
You will see the results immediately. As your English improves, you will gain the confidence to have an English conversation, make new friends, and participate in regular academic classes. The curriculum will also include English for Math, Social Studies, and Science individualized for your level. The academic content areas will help you prepare to study in a Canadian school setting.
AEIP classes are small, with a maximum of 16 students. To encourage your English development, we enforce an English-Only policy. Classes are from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. Weekly assessments will be given to evaluate your academic progress. |
