The New Westminster School
District is responsible for all public primary, middle, and secondary
schools in the city of New Westminster. Public education in Canada
has an excellent reputation worldwide and more than 92% of British
Columbian students attend public school.
Many New Westminster graduates go on to study at top universities
across Canada, the U.S.A., and countries around the world. New Westminster
School District boasts innovative education and academic excellence,
including special programs such as the International Baccalaureate
and Fine Arts Mini-School. In fact, in 1987 New Westminster was
one of the first public school districts in Canada to begin accepting
