| New Westminster School District is
responsible for public primary, middle and secondary schools in
the city of New Westminster. The school district consists of one
secondary school, two middle schools and nine elementary schools.
To accommodate our growing population, we are planning to build
one more middle school in the near future. |

| New Westminster Secondary School is home to a premier
theatre, the Massey Theatre. Massey Theatre is a 1,260 seat performing
arts facility operated by the Massey Theatre Society, a not-for-profit
organization. The Theatre opened in 1949 and hosts about 200 performances
each year; everything from school drama productions and jazz band
concerts to the Royal City Ballet and the New Westminster Symphony
Orchestra. |
