If you need questions, a teacher is available to help you.  Each of our online courses is teacher-led and you can get help in several ways through both Access New West and Learn Now BC.

Getting help through Access New West:
  1. Come in to the Learning Centre for direct, face-to-face help from your teacher. You can find out in your course when a teacher qualified to help you in your course is available.

  2. Call the Learning Centre and talk to a teacher

  3. Email your teacher. You can email your teacher through your course. Click the mail link on the left side of any page in your course.
Getting help through Learn Now BC:
Sign up with Learn Now BC in order to access up to 4 different tutoring options. Not all courses have each type of tutoring available.  Check with Learn Now BC to find out which tutoring options are available to you.
  • "Live Tutor" - A "Live" Tutor is waiting online fron 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Sunday to Thursday.  You may sign into the queue 15 minutes prior to the start time and you will be allotted up to 20 minutes to interact with your "Live" tutor.

  • "Live Workshop" - "Live" Workshop features an online "Live" lesson with a teacher.  Click on the checkmark and you will see a schedule of lessons and the topics which will be covered.  "Live" lesson is followed by a group discussion and Question and Answer session.  You may sign into the queue 15 minutes prior to the start time.

  • "Study BUZZ" - Study BUZZ provides you the ability to test yourself, check your results and then review the subject areas you need to work on.  This service is available 24/7

  • "Charged up for Math and Science" - This service provides you 24/7 access to sample Provincial Exam questions and "Streaming Video" explanations of the toughest problems.
